So, if you sit more than you stand and move around the place in a day, then you better think twice of continuing what you’re used to, and save yourself from heart attack and obesity. <span id="more-60"></span></p>
<p>Yet, how in the world such as this idleness and a simple movement like sitting can kill us? Just recently, we have read a very helpful news article on the dangers imposed by too <a href="http://jamfitnessgym.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/men-nd-women.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-61" title="Men and Women at work" src="http://jamfitnessgym.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/men-nd-women.jpg?w=300&#038;h=199" alt="" width="300" height="199" /></a>much sitting down and less standing at the office. In this article, it was mentioned that the risk of having a cancer are greater for those people who sit more in a day than stand, especially those who sit for more than 8 hours on their desk and in front of their computers.</p>
<p>This research was released in Louisiana, by the scientists at the Pennington Biomedical  Research Center.  In their study, they have analyzed the diverse lifestyles of over 17,000 people – both male and female – for around 13 years. They then concluded that those who sit most in a day are 54 % more likely to develop a heart attack and eventually, die from the disease.</p>
<p>Furthermore, several experts were alerted that similar research had been conducted and a similar result was concluded. In fact, Peter Katzmarzyk, a professor at Pennington said that on a research done in 1953, made British researchers concluded that “bus drivers were twice as likely to die of heart attacks as trolley operators.” Well, as you know, bus drivers sit down when driving, while the trolley operators usually stand up.</p>
<p>In the online resources, Katzmarzyk told Masters that“we see it in people who smoke and people who don’t.” Furthermore, “we see it in people who are regular exercisers and those who aren’t. Sitting is an independent risk factor,” the online news stated.</p>
<p>Therefore, considering that there are so many call centers in the Philippines, and most of these agents just sit for more than 8 hours every shift, as well as those who only sits down at their offices, it is important to take heed to this information. It is advisable to work out at the gym daily (if possible) or thrice a week after a good rest. It’s at least to combat the idleness that you do at work while sitting down for long hours. <strong></strong> is always committed to promoting healthy living and lifestyle.</p>

<p>With all the killings, robbery, rape cases and kidnapping, among other crimes we have witness on the streets, on the television, heard over the radio and read in the newspaper, it is undeniable that we, ourselves may also be susceptible to these kinds of unexpected danger happening in our society. Evil is just everywhere, waiting to strike at us like a wolf waiting for the right time to attack its poor prey, the innocent lamb.<span id="more-46"></span></p>
<p>As you walk alone late at night, heading for home from an overtime duty, an armed robber or a group of drug-addicted and weird-looking gangsters might just be waiting for you at some dark corners of the road, waiting for the right timing to jump on their unprepared prey. And if you are too petite and weak to stand for your defense, then you are in real danger!</p>
<p>Therefore, it is important that wherever you go, you are physically and mentally prepared for this kind of scenario in your life. One of the best things to do is to learn some self-defense techniques. One of the best self-defense techniques, so far, is the MMA Grappling. This is a type of martial art that makes use of grappling as an act of controlling or attacking an opponent with the use of holds and grips. Some of the benefits one can get from MMA Grappling, aside from self-defense, include healthy body and mind, skills in grappling, strength and fun!</p>
<p>There are several techniques that one can learn from this kind of martial art. These techniques are categorized into four areas:</p>
<p>CLINCHING &#8211; This takes place with both competitors on their feet using various clinch holds applied to the upper body of the opponent. Clinch work is generally used to set up or defend against throws or takedowns.</p>
<p>TAKEDOWNS &#8211; This occurs when one grappler is able to manipulate his opponent from a position where both grapplers are initially standing to a position on the ground where the grappler, completing the take down, ends up on top of the opponent.</p>
<p>THROWS &#8211; This is a technique in which one grappler lifts or off-balances his opponent and maneuvers him forcefully to the ground.</p>
<p>SUBMISSION HOLDS &#8211; This techniques focuses on chokes and locks.</p>
